£80

Why?

Yoyooo · 07/02/2024 15:41

£40 but next door neighbour is a gas engineer

ShillyShallySherbet · 07/02/2024 15:42

Usually £60 but it was £90 this year as it needed an extra special clean apparently.

Rainbow1612 · 07/02/2024 15:43

£65
He was in the house for ten minutes (boiler is only a year old)

GrouchyKiwi · 07/02/2024 15:44

£70 with my current plumber (he installed the boiler last year). Was £80 with the previous chap in our old house.

£99-£119 depending if we want it on a Saturday.

We live in an expensive part of the country and would rather stick with this plumber than change a new one to save £10-£20.

8yo boiler in a hard water area with a filter system.

NextPrimeMinister · 07/02/2024 15:58

£60

wineandmaltesers · 07/02/2024 16:02

Last year £86, last week £96.

A proper service should take at least 45 minutes - even if the boiler is only 1 year old.

Find someone else next year.

Augustus40 · 07/02/2024 16:32

I have a British Gas service plan. They never stay longer than 20 mins.

Janetime · 07/02/2024 16:33

Also British Gas service plan, generally here for about 30 mins and checks rads.

Westfacing · 07/02/2024 16:38

£96 (£7.99/month) with BOXT - they installed the boiler two years ago.

barkymcbark · 07/02/2024 16:39

£70 I think

aitchteeaitch · 07/02/2024 16:46

"£80"

Well this has to be one of the shortest opening posts ever. Why are you asking, OP? Do you think that's too high, too low, or are you doing some market research because you're a newly-qualified gas engineer and don't know what to charge your customers?

Spends at least 45 mins - an hour here

BMW6 · 07/02/2024 17:46

£7.99pm with local company who supplied and fitted the new boiler in 2014.

Very thorough and takes around an hour.
