I need a new hair dryer - recommendations

Last time I bought a hair dryer was in 2007 and I bought a Philips and it's still ok however the cord is fraying now. I need to get a new hairdryer.

I love my hair and I care for it greatly so I would like a hairdryer that will help me care for my hair.

A friend has the Dyson and I do love it but it's too expensive. I was looking at the Shark hair dryer as an alternative and that could be a possibility if I was to find a discount code.

Another hairdryer I was looking at is one from a brand called Laifen. Apparantly there's a function on the machine where it cycles between all the different heat settings while blow-drying so your hair doesn't get too over heated. So it does a few seconds of hot, then low heat then cold and cycles between them. I kinda like the idea of that. However I read some reviews and for some people the heating element dies within a year or even two years.

Yeah I am looking for a new hair dryer and looking for recommendations.

I have fine hair.
My budget is about 120 pounds. I would love to get something on offer too. I would love a hairdryer that would help me care for my hair.

I’ve had my parlux for 5 years and love it!

Parlux. I have fine hair and it makes it look so much better.

I can’t recommend the GHD Helios enough! I very rarely used to blow dry my hair because it would end up a frizzy mess and felt so dry but using the GHD one has completely changed my hair!

Parlux or GHD but I would definitely hold them
as the Parlux can be heavy. I also have fine hair. Personally I have Dyson. Good hairdryer but not worth the £££

NoEffingWay · 06/02/2024 16:12

Parlux is the best I've found

hilbil21 · 06/02/2024 16:18

Parlux here too

Another vote for Parlux. I read they can be heavy so I have the 385 light as I have thick hair so takes an age to dry and it’s perfect.

Thanks all will look at Parlux light I think. Does anyone think the shark or cloud nine are any good?

I like idea of getting rid of frizz
