Are they:

A. Gen Z
B. Millennials
C. Mix of both

None of your option quite fit - 45 year olds would belong to Gen X. Millennial is from 1981-1996 I think 🤔 then Gen Z

2bumpsor3 · 06/02/2024 14:02

A mix...someone aged 45 isn't a millennial

Ginmonkeyagain · 06/02/2024 14:02

45 year olds are Xennials. A micro generation between milennials and Gen X.

WallaceinAnderland · 06/02/2024 14:11

What has being female got to do with it?

Hardwig · 06/02/2024 14:14

The age group of 24 to 45 is a mix of Gen Y, X and Z.

JDJT · 06/02/2024 14:14

C

SageRosemary · 06/02/2024 14:25

Can't they just be women? They are all adult human females (some are middle -aged and the rest are heading there)

Comfysock · 06/02/2024 14:27

UPDATE
So I cant really put it into a category although a majority according to below is millennials??

I found this...

Gen Z 1997 – 2012 ages: 12 – 27
Millennials 1981 – 1996 ages: 28 – 43

OP posts:

They're not all one generation. Speaking as someone near the top end of that age range, I'm definitely not the same generation as someone in their mid-20s.

Someone turning 24 this year was born in 2000
Someone turning 45 was born in 1979

1979 is well within Gen X limits (ends 1980ish)
Millennial are 1981-2 to 1996ish.
Gen Z are 1997ish to early 2010s.

So your age range covers three generations, but the majority of people in it will be Millennials.

WhereYouLeftIt · 06/02/2024 14:40

Age 24-45 means born from 1979 to 2000.

So -
born 1979 - 1980 would be Gen X
born 1981 - 1996 would be Gen Y / Millenials
born 1997 - 2000 would be Gen Z / Zoomers

"So I cant really put it into a category although a majority according to below is millennials??"
Why do you want to put them all into one category? For what purpose?

SnapdragonToadflax · 06/02/2024 14:40

It'll be majority millennials, but encompassing Gen X, Xennial, Millennial and Gen Z.

I was born in 81 but don't really feel Millennial. I identify much more with Gen X's experience of growing up (analogue, fairly free-range, Thatcher) but am really a Xennial - right on that cusp in a mini generation of our own. Analogue childhood, digital young adulthood.

Flatleak · 06/02/2024 14:50

Why are generations getting so small? According to that chart gen z is a 5yr window

HumanRightsAreHumanRights · 06/02/2024 14:50

I'd put them in the group of adult women, including a lot of the women who are currently parents to children not old enough to have left education.

All this gen whatever doesn't really help anyone or particularly tell you anything.

No, it's a 15 year window. (1997-2012)

Edited

I didn't know this. I'm 45 and call myself a baby Xer.

But yes there's at least 3 generations in that age range:, X, millennial, Z

ZenNudist · 06/02/2024 15:00

Dsis in 1980 is an elder millennial.

Flatleak · 06/02/2024 15:00

No, it's a 15 year window. (1997-2012)

Well that's embarrassing.

WallaceinAnderland · 06/02/2024 15:26

But what I'm asking is why women? These age groups apply to everyone OP, not just half the population.

What a peculiar question.

Quite frankly my dear, who gives a damn?

dodobookends · 06/02/2024 17:01

Females? Female what?

Guppies, duck-billed platypuses, fruit flies, guinea fowl... or humans?

APurpleSquirrel · 06/02/2024 18:40

I was born in 1980 & see myself as either Gen X or Xiennial.

This is what I was thinking.

@Comfysock , why do you want to put such a huge group of adults into one 'box' ?

leighqt · 06/02/2024 21:35

I completely agree with you
