He's getting some stick / piss taking for this.
The thing that struck me is he spends 1hr 30 with his son, who he also admits he didn't want, but hours in the gym, going out for breakfast, gaming etc. He's living the life of a single man but has a wife to do everything and have his lunch on the table by 12.
If she posted on here the cry of LTB would be unanimous.

Gregg Wallace: Why I’d choose a Harvester over a three-star Michelin restaurant

The MasterChef presenter on his unexpected loves – journalling, manifesting, geeky computer games... and chain restaurant fry-ups

I find GregG Wallace all about the whys and hows.

Why is his name spelled with two Gs? How can it possibly be that his middle name is, indeed Alan? 🤣 or maybe it’s Allan? Wouldn’t want to get told off for a missing L.

How on earth he’s convinced four women to marry him and two to continue his genes. How on earth he got and continues to enjoy a TV and media career.

I find him charmless and physically unappealing. That’s putting it mildly. He insists on parading his six pack, that he obviously works hard for and takes great pride in, but I usually laugh and imagine it’s one of those spray tan ones. He seems the type.

Because he was manufactured from a spare bit of dough by Gregg's - the left over grey bit which couldn't be used for anything else.

GettingStuffed · 07/02/2024 13:57

I heard from someone who won a meet and greet with him that he saw a pretty blonde and spent the entire time chatting her up ignoring everyone else.

OhItsOnlyCynthia · 07/02/2024 14:05

Someone won a meet and greet with Gregg Wallace 😂

I genuinely thought the Femfresh hamper I won in a church raffle was the worst prize in history until today.

'Why the fuck has he even become well known?'

I know! He's a talent free zone. He's so out of his depth with the professional chefs like John and Marcus on MasterChef

The audacity of getting him to judge a cookery competition.

He cooks once a week?

He looks like a freshly wanked cock.

NB I didn't coin this phrase, but the chances to use it are so few and far between I'm happy to nick it. And this is a wonderful chance.

Fully snort laughed OMG 🤣

VelvetShrimp · 07/02/2024 14:45

@OhItsOnlyCynthia 😂😂😂😂 genuinely crying with laughter at that comment. The man's worse than a second hand artificially scented vagina experience

AuntiePathy · 06/02/2024 14:49

To be fair, Mary Beard didn't get where she is today without several solid hours on Julius Caesar: Ultimate Strike Force before breakfast.

😂😂😂😂

NewOrder · 07/02/2024 15:54

Who the fuck married someone who has been married THREE times before? Either you are thick as mince or you feel like the marriage will benefit you somehow

Lottapianos · 07/02/2024 16:00

That Mrs Wallace's Saturday piece is brilliant 😁

I read the whole thing with the voice of Alan Partridge in my head. Grin

Me too!!

Just when I thought I couldn't dislike him any more, this pops up.

Unfortunately for me, these days all I think about when someone mentions 'Greggs' is 'alleyway' If you don't know what that means, do a search and scroll down 😖

Sorry about this, just sharing the 😬 around a bit.

Mrs Wallace's Saturday is brilliant.

The prize was a Meet n Greet with 2Gs? The absolute definition of a booby prize.

It's flying around on X - this image - so sharing here so that people can have a read if unable to use the link. I found the whole thing really disturbing! At first I thought it was a spoof.

Can't stand the man.

RafaistheKingofClay · 07/02/2024 17:50

A meet and greet with Ggregg is the sort of prize that you kindly offer as a gift to someone you don’t like much.

Feel sorry for the poor blonde who had to take one for the team and talk to him.

Crikeyalmighty · 07/02/2024 17:52

He is a first rate prick

Muddlingalongsomehow · 07/02/2024 17:56

There's so much wrong with people's take on this. I'm not a fan, don't watch his stuff, not my sort of thing.

But

He had permanent sole custody of his other two kids when they were tiny. Mother was an alcoholic. He's not a crap dad.

He stepped back from media work to be home more for the boy. He campaigns to raise awareness for autism funding. He's trying to create a new income stream for his family hence all the publicity for his projects here.

His in laws moved in with them when they got married, long before the baby. Father in law died just a few months ago, having been cared for with cancer in the extended family home. How lovely for mother in law not to be alone now. His wife has also been very ill. How was he supposed to work away and provide for them without live-in support for a special needs child?

He didn't say he didn't want this kid. He expressed ambivalence about being an older dad. Elsewhere he's talked of his guilt about the higher risk of autism with an older dad.

But most of all - these are not his words. They're a journalist's. It would have been "tell us what you like to do at the weekend" rearranged by them. They'd have chosen the focus. And it is one day of the week. What if he gets the boy brek and takes him to school all the other days, for example?

He might indeed be an arse to other people.. But that's not a reason to slaughter him based on this piddling superficial article.

Mummadeze · 07/02/2024 18:04

I think his Saturday sounds quite normal. I really don’t get why he gets so much criticism.

Not sure if you are serious, but It’s not at all normal for a parent, never mind a parent of a disabled child.

Do you only spend 1.5 hours a day with your child/ren on your non-working days?
