36 weeks, why do I feel so weird?

Did anybody else experience this around the 36 weeks pregnant mark? Came on really suddenly tonight, feeling extremely sick, stomach cramps & needing the toilet. I generally just feel so rubbish.

Baby is moving a lot also and it's actually really uncomfortable on top of feeling extremely nauseous 😢 feels like my stomach is a washing machine.

I've another 3 weeks until my elective, hope I'm not feeling like this every day up until then!

I also feel a bit feverish at the minute

It could be any number of things from a stomach bug to something more serious. Call triage and they'll decide whether they want to see you tonight. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Could this be labour? Give triage a call x

Would they really see me though just because I feel out of sorts? I just feel really sick 🤢

I've no pains as such, but my belly feels strange, I can't really describe it! Might just be because baby is moving so much

@inks10 is baby moving more than normal? I would give triage a call and just explain how you’re feeling. Most likely nothing and just one of those weird pregnancy things but better safe!

Sycamoretrees · 05/02/2024 23:51

A change in movement, moving more or moving less could be an indication something is wrong and best to get checked. Give the triage a call and ask for advice.

He's very active at night anyway so hard to say whether or not it's more

Convinced it's food poisoning or something I've eaten just hasn't agreed with me. Couldn't sleep last night for the nausea then this morning I couldn't stop being sick (sorry for TMI) 🤮

That doesn't sound fun, hope you feel better soon. If you're at all worried check in with a midwife.

mindutopia · 06/02/2024 09:42

It's not that uncommon for nausea/vomiting to be the start of labour. But there is nausea/vomiting and then there is feeling 'funny'. If you don't feel right, I would push it with your midwife to explore because sometimes this is our body's way of saying things aren't okay.
