New Kindle - Fire 8 or Fire 10?

I've just traded in my old Kindle via Amazon. I now have a £5 gift card and 20% off a replacement. I'm wondering whether to buy a Kindle Fire rather than eg Paperwhite but can't decide between a Fire HD 8, HD 8 Plus or Fire HD 10. Any recommendations / reviews much appreciated if you have one of these.

I have the HD8, it's frankly a heap of shit. Webpages constantly crashing or taking ten years to load etc.

Hated the Fire.
Much prefer my paper white.

Depends what you want to use it for. I hate reading on the fire tablet, definitely go paperwhite if that is your main use for it.

Main use would be reading and annotating books and documents. I'm not convinced that I'll use it enough to make it worth investing in a Kindle scribe though. The Paperwhite looks like it might be the best option.
