Would it be beneficial to talk to my counsellor again after all this time?

I'd a bad break-up 3 years ago, I tried to deal with it myself and by talking to friends, but after a year I had 5 sessions of counselling and I found them extremely helpful in that she helped me to realise I'd a lucky escape, etc.

Anyway, I'm over him and the breakup now and would never go back there.

However, there's an issue in my life that's connected in a way to the breakup that still causes me upset at times and I'm wondering if it might be beneficial to talk to her again?

I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who benefited from similar.

If you found the sessions helpful before you might well benefit from approaching the counsellor again. It's quite common to have clients return to therapy.
