House-style cotbed?

These were quite in a few years ago, are they functional at all, or do they just take up space and collect dust? Our 14 month old's bed has unexpectedly collapsed and I need to get something ASAP. One of these is on sale for a good price but perhaps it's better to just have a normal cotbed (we had the kind that converts to a toddler bed for our oldest but unfortunately gave it away!) Pic to show what I'm talking about.

I don't see a problem with it. I think they are actually quite cute and can be dressed up a bit too. If it's at good money you should go for it!!!
