One of mine was a bit like this, although further erupted. An oral surgeon did the extraction, but I just had local and it was fine. Worst part was I had a couple of stitches that were really irritating for the next few days. Hope all goes well for you!

My DC has a tooth growing outside another tooth. Like PP it was extracted under local anaesthetic.

Mine was like that, it was coming out of the gum though

Came out easily, the surgeon was great

I’ve been in your shoes! I had a similar situation with my wisdom tooth growing into my mouth, and I completely understand your worries.
When I had mine removed, the dentist carefully explained the procedure beforehand, which really helped calm my nerves. They used local anesthesia, so I didn’t feel any pain during the extraction. The dentist also mentioned that even when the tooth is visible in the mouth, they have specialized tools to remove it without causing much trauma to the surrounding area.
Recovery can be a bit uncomfortable, especially if you had a rough experience with your impacted tooth before, but following the aftercare instructions made a huge difference for me. Ice packs and sticking to soft foods really helped with the swelling and discomfort.
