Nice village/town to live

Hello, I currently have a lovely holiday home in St Ives just outside ringwood and although we love Dorset/Hampshire location, st ives isn’t for us. My children are grown up and my husband and I are looking to relocate / retire early but although st ives is very central to a lot of things, everything is accessible by car - we’d love to be in a pretty village with shops or small town. We don’t care about schools, but would like a nice, pretty, safe place to live with a nice village or town centre, not too far from The forest / beach. Budget is around 700k for 3 bed. Milford on sea or burley are two places that we like, but our money doesn’t go far - where else should we look at to find a sociable friendly community. Or is there anywhere we should avoid? Thanks so much

Try Manningtree. We live here and it's lovely. Also not too far from London if you need to be in the city. £700k would go far here.

Thank you flowerport - manning tree does look very nice but we would prefer the south coast location, Dorset or Hampshire.
