Lash extensions - ruined anyone’s lashes?

I think mine have ruined my natural lashes. Quite a few have come out as to be expected but it seems that they’ve taken my natural ones with them! I’m not sure I’ll be able to have them refilled at the end of the week as there’s nothing to stick them to.

has this happened to anyone else?

also has anyone tried uk lash serum and did it actually lengthen your lashes?

They come out as your natural lashes come out. I've been having them for years and my lashes are fine.

If they've been done professionally and well then you shouldn't expect any damage.
You should expect shedding which is where your natural lashes will come out anyway- you'd still lose them but it's just more noticeable with the extension on.
If you're concerned, speak to your lash tech

It often feels this way after your first session. I thought the same ‘there’s nothing to put more lashes onto’ but it always has been fine.

Some weeks you drop more than others. I now never touch my lashes or rarely touch my eyes and it’s made a big difference

Yeah they were done professionally and haven’t had a problem before. Been having them done for about 8 months but today I’ve realised that I’ve lost quite a few out of one eye and there doesn’t seem to be any new lashes of my own to put an extension on to.

how long do you guys have extensions for before having a break?

I have used UK Lash serum since July last year and am thrilled with how they've transformed my lashes!

I'd had a few lash lifts which had left my lashes in a bit of a state. I kept seeing ads for the lash serum pop up on my social media and eventually bought myself some.

I would say that they have doubled in length and that's not an exaggeration.

II'd highly recommend it.

I’m very tempted by it but it is expensive. How do you use it? Assume you put it on at night and can wear mascara during the day?

I think if I can’t have any more extensions put on this time I may purchase some and see how they go. I do love nice long lashes. It’s the only thing I have done and I will miss it.

I used to regularly get lash extensions and I would always pick at them, leaving me with bald patches 😅but that was my own fault.

I’ve since stopped having extensions done and safe to say my lashes have recovered. I switched to LVL and am much happier with the results. It gives a good dramatic effect and they are much easier to keep clean. Plus, you don’t have that awkward stage walking around with half a set of lashes the week before your next appointment!

Angeldelight50 · 04/02/2024 19:48

@turtledovelove Do you constantly use the serum? I’d love to try but have read you need to continue use to keep up results and it is expensive 😭

Mumaway · 04/02/2024 19:49

Yes definitely. The traction and weight causes your own lashes to come out too. Definitely only an occasional treat for a big event and then a few months for eyelashes to grow back

I think I’d still want o wear mascara with lvl. I don’t think they’d feel ‘enough’. Kind of wish I’d never started the extensions as I don’t want to be without them now.

You're right it's pricey and I was hesitant to make the purchase for ages but I'm so glad I did. I've used it everyday since buying it last July and I'm still using the same bottle.

I use it once a day, brush some on my upper lashes and that's it. There are instructions on the box though.

IcedupTulip · 04/02/2024 19:53

I find one of my eyes is always looking great even 3 weeks on but the other one seems to shed more.

m hopefully she’ll be able to do the extension on Thursday but if not I’ll get her to take them off 😢 and buy some uk lash and use that for a few weeks. Hopefully then I can go back to extensions.

@IcedupTulip i’d really recommend trying an LVL if you’re having a break from extensions anyway. You can still wear mascara with LVL. Honestly I used to think the same about extensions and could never be without them, but now I look back at pics and think they look so much nicer now.

@turtledovelove wow that is amazing, I was imagining going through a bottle every other month.. I’ll give it a try!

@IcedupTulip I’d imagine LVL plus serum combo would look insane 😍
