I, I'm all for zero tolerance as the evidence supports that zero tolerance works
I get so upset when I see car after car with serious clownish number plates that have either been mis-spaced and/or dots added to the digits/letters to make them look like something else.

It is against the law to do the above and drive on a public road. I guess it encourages other weak-minded people to follow suit and.

I was just watching a YouTube video where some people have started to go around and record these illegal number plates and report them to the police. I'm not sure if the cops act but I have seen them pull over people at times and point to an illegal number plate

You now do have details of certain police forces that accept video of those using their mobile when driving or stationary in traficc, often cycle riders are reporting them

Should we, you me start to report those with illegal number plates as they make me cringe? A price plate that has not be molested and reads well EF 1 HRH !RR etc etc look good but not one where you start to play a guessing game about what the number plate is supposed to mean.

Would you agree with me that there are more vehicles on the road that are breaking the law in this way and IMO only encourage other idiots to follow??

Has anyone ever reported a mis=spaced car number plate and if so how and did they get a result and were made aware of the outcome?

Slight OT but about vehicles. I and my OH noted a slow puncture on our car as we drove through a part of greater London. We stopped the car and noted a screw in the middle of the tyre - just down the road a fast fit place - we went there and as we stood outside in the sun waiting our turn a car pulled up, an old MBW 3 series one of those tiny cars that appear to be everywhere - it was an old car and credit to them they came in a couple, to change their tyres - they had a lol with the fitter at how blad the tyres were. They were completely blad. I should have had the guts to call the cops as worn tyres reduce stopping distance and slip off into other vehicles and people - I think you get 3 points per bad tyre and if you've had an accident and injured someone serious, you could go to prisons. Here I felt the fast fit at the very least should not have been lol with them as it was disgusting to have tyres like that,

I feel there should be a hotline that has an email address as well where we could report people like this. Often, people who have dangerous cars on the roads, EG no mot, insurance, tax etc are often guilty of other things as well. Just look at yourself, would you drive a car without insurance, road tax, mott, bald, or bald tyres, of course, you won't.

Would you agree with me if there was an easier way to report the above types without declaring you details more of us would report these people and we'd get safer roads?
