Friendship present 50th

Hi

My friend is 50 this year. She has specified she would not like any presents as we are all paying to spend the weekend away with her. However me and our other closest friend would still like to get her a small gift something she can keep, maybe jewellery ?

So what would people suggest for a budget of around £50-60 ?

Tia

I never want presents.

Why do you want to get a present when she has asked you not to?

I’d get something personal and lower value than that if she’s specified no presents. Maybe a photo book of your friendship over the years?

A photo book is an excellent idea!

I threw a party when I was 50 and said no presents but ended up with so much 'stuff' which I appreciated the thought behind, but has mostly been donated to the charity shop.

I had three necklaces the same, but different, iyswim. I've kept those (not valuable but sentimental) and wear them whenever I'm seeing the person who gifted it. There was a lot of thought behind those.

But a photobook is a genius idea!

Thank you photo book is a great idea .

We wanted to get a present @Sunflowerfieldnexttomyhouse as my lovely friend is conscious we have spent money celebrating with her via the weekend away but we would like to also give her something like a keepsake to celebrate both her birthday and how long we've been friends. It's a special birthday for her so she deserves to be spoilt a bit 😊

I'd get her a photo book of the weekend away, and maybe some older pics in there too.

And get some champagne/nice wine for the trip - or whatever she's into?

Does she like reading?

I don’t know if this would be to her taste but you can get silver or gold simple elegant necklace with small birthstones of you three friends or her husband and children’s birthstones, or just hers? Or could be bangle or ring similar.

A photo book with some old photos of you all in would be my preference for a person who really doesn’t like receiving gifts.

We did a scrap book with photos and copies of some old (very embarrassing) letters we sent each other as teenagers (we all travelled extensively).

Thank you I have ordered her one of these and think I'll arrange a photo book too . Maybe a keepsake of some silver earrings if our budgets cover it
