What nice little bits do you add to you food shop?

Like nice little snacks or things for when you just fancy something to eat. My teenagers could eat me out of house and home so I like to have a full fridge.

I'm trying to be more organised lol

Our teenagers will fill up with snacks and then not want "proper" food at mealtimes.

Saying this sometimes I am happy to give them "snack foods".

So our local food hall does amazing pork pies (think chunky proper meat full) so I get those and they share. Houmous with oatcakes. Bread sticks. Feta cheese and Italian ham for sandwiches.

They will eat hard boiled eggs all day if left, so I boil a limited number.

Nuts.

I tend to buy more ready made on the sweet side because making dessert never seems time. So popcorn goes down well, Tony's chocolate bars (milk crispy is a favourite), if I am feeling nice jam donuts. And at the moment because you can't get them all year mini eggs.

Again if I am feeling generous nice butter shortbread.

Peanut butter on toast is handy
Crumpets/bagels with cream cheese, butter, honey.

Scones with jam and clotted cream.

Chop up a fruit salad with yogurt

Once I slice a melon, watermelon seems favourite that usually disappears.

@frozendaisy can you adopt me?! That all sounds bloody amazing. I'd love to be grazing in your house!

I try to do low carb mostly so my treats are a nice bit of sourdough loaf and pate. When I'm strictly no carb, I'll have some good mozzarella with pesto, or if I need sweet then it's berries and clotted cream. Not very exciting sadly. The kids like snacking on babybel or Maryland cookies.

I'm going through a Love Corn phase at the moment.
Also the Crosta Molica breadsticks with fresh salsa.

Crumpets. Toasting muffins. Pringles. I live alone so all for me!
