Any counselors around? I want to retrain

As per the title.

I'm semi retired and would like to retrain as a councilor. What qualifications do I need?

I don't want to go too deep, as in doing a degree ( I've already got one) but just to impart my life skills and experience. I'm aware that anyone can set themselves up but I don't want to do that as I would want to have a nationally recognized qualification.

There's so much on google, I'm totally confused! I would prefer a classroom setting rather than online.

Look up BACP for what's required. It's lengthy and expensive due to having therapy yourself and supervision. But if that's what you want, go for it!
