We are going to fit out our bathroom.
Trying to future proof. We are in our 60"s.
I'm starting to struggle to get in and out of the bath.
We have decided to remove the bath and fit a walk in shower.
Anyone have any ideas We should start to look at.

Have a switch so you can turn the shower on from outside of the cubicle

Non-slip shower tray, as low as you can get.

If your walk-in shower is big enough, then a folding seat would be good.

Some kind of limiter on the shower controls so you can't accidentally turn it too hot.

This a game changer don’t have to stand under cold water, you get in when the water is nice & hot.
we did exactly the same thing as our bathroom is incredibly small & space we gained by losing the bath now have a very spacious walk in shower ours has no tray as the floor was tanked, also wall hung sink/drawers & wall hung toilet gives an air of space & much easier to keep clean.
yy a folding stool or a shelf style perch built in the shower enclosure oh & built in nooks for soaps/shower/shampoos again much tidy than having bottles etc everywhere.
