I have to have a loop procedure next week to remove some cells doe to cin-3 abnormal changes in my cervix. I'm terrified. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Can I drive myself and drive home. Is there a recovery time? Or will it much the same as the cervical punch biopsy ive had previously? Any help or advice appreciated.

Bumping for you. 2 friends had it done and said it was ok and they got themselves home by driving and public transport.

I’ve always gone home on the train after mine with no problem. I always insist on decent pain relief, and sometimes they offer to put one under, in which case a bit more recovery time is needed, but only a few hours. I’ve had, it must be three, and it’s fine, honestly.
