Can you make or receive a call plane

Is it possible to get a phone call while flying between Australia and the uk ? I’m on O2 and have roaming. Or even make a call . Travelling to see very sick person .

A lot of planes these days have WiFi. So with WhatsApp/FaceTime probably. You can check this before you purchase a ticket

Depends which airline you are flying with .

British Airways has WiFi available to purchase but phone calls are prohibited.
