Wedding witnesses

My fiancée and I are gearing up to officially sign the papers at the register office, and we're in need of two witnesses for the ceremony. Since we're keeping it a bit hush-hush at the moment, we're reaching out for assistance. Unfortunately, the services we've contacted are fully booked. We're specifically looking for two individuals fluent in English to be our witnesses on the 8th of February 2024 at 2:20 pm, location is Birmingham Register office. We're prepared to offer £50 / person in cash for their help. If anyone is available and willing to assist, please get in touch.

Have you asked the register office?
A friend works at one (not Birmingham unfortunately) and the registrars there are happy to help, and ask people who are passing the office if they have a bit of spare time.

We have the same issue and we actually found a local service (NW) where a firm contracts people out to do this for you. I believe folks on Reddit are often happy to help do this for you.

There have been lots of MN wedding witnesses over the years. Ms in e repost and put "Birmingham" in the title, it'll catch more people's interest.
