Greengrocers or supermarket?

I know it is better to shop at a small business but I’m debating whether to make the effort to go to our local ish greengrocers for fruit and veg instead of from the supermarket (Aldi).

Is it usually much better quality? I can buy some organic bits from Aldi but there isn’t a huge range yet although not sure if the greengrocers is organic anyway… I’ve priced up a few bits e.g carrots and apples are double the price so just wondering if others found it worth swapping to (trying to keep within budget).

I guess it depends on the sourcing of your greengrocers. Have you looked at local veg box schemes? They are often the best at supporting local producers.

I know the apples, honey, jam are local but not sure about other fruit and veg. Maybe I need to go and visit it and investigate further!
I have looked into veg boxes e.g Riverford but hadn’t thought about if there would be local ones thank you.
