has anyone received something completely different from Amazon from what they expected?

I ordered a book, but today received a shower head (same order number). Has that happened to anyone else, and WHY would it happen?
I don't use Amazon as a rule, and this has put me off even more.

I once ordered an eye mask and got men’s underpants (I suppose they might have worked if I put them on my head!). Amazon said to keep them and refunded me, so I donated the pants to a homeless charity. And then a few days later the eye mask arrived. No idea what happened.

Yep, I ordered one of those car tyre inflating things that you plug into the cigarette lighter socket in the car. When I opened the box (which I thought was surprisingly small and light), it was a pregnancy test kit!

I ordered a beanie hat and received black leather fingerless gloves! They were hideous and smelly!

My sister ordered an underwater camera as she was moving to Mexico to work on a conservation project. She got a box of tea bags. This was the day before her flight so I was left trying to argue with Amazon to get a refund of £400. I was worried as I had read lots of horror stories about them not refunding, but after the first four conversations where I kept being told to wait, one lovely person processed the refund as a "gesture of goodwill"

I once ordered some primary school teaching resources and received a bag of 100+ alcohol detection bits for breathalyser devices. Not so useful in the average primary class as whatever it was that I'd actively ordered.

I can’t remember what I ordered but I received some specialist computer memory that was of zero use to me. They told me to keep it so I sold it on eBay and made £80!

I ordered an internal hard drive for £150 and got 2 bars of soap ... the second time they sent out a replacement and it was a phone case. Unfortunately my driver was stealing my expensive item and replacing it with cheap crap because he knew it was a high value item as it needed a pass code - never again.

I ordered a colouring book and got a mosquito net.

Once ordered a large Toblerone and got a bottle of dettol spray...

Also once ordered some carpet cleaner and got sent some stuff to clean dog piss off paving slabs with. Told amazon who said to bin it and they'd send correct stuff out. They send another bottle of the sodding paving slab cleaner.
