Care home nurses

Question for care home nurses - can I work bank shifts at two different care homes (run by different companies). I currently work bank shifts at one but I am looking to get a few more shifts by working at another one as well. Is this allowed?
I only do bank. I'm not a permanent contract

Why not? If it doesn't any different in your contract.
We have a Bank nurse who works for an agency too, she does one or two nights a week for us and the rest of her time she picks up agency shifts as she likes. Only rule for us is she can't come to us as an agency nurse.

You can, it might be worth splitting your tax code over both jobs otherwise you'll pay basic rate tax on your second job.

@Mummyofthewildones Thank you,do you know how I'd arrange that? Do I just call up HMRC?

Yes, that's what I've done in the past. If you're a registered nurse and pay NMC registration you can also get tax relief on that and if I remember rightly, also for washing your own uniform, if you wear one. Worth mentioning on the phone if you're ringing them anyway.
