Birmingham City Centre Hotels

Hi all
Going to Birmingham with my sister for an event in NEC. We have decided to stay overnight and have a day in city centre/bullring.

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel/aparthotel? We want separate beds - separate bedrooms or bedroom with a separate sofa bed in living are would be perfect.

I have booked The Rotunda (free cancellation) but am now having doubts after seeing some dodgy reviews 🤔
We will not have a car so need to be in reasonable distance for train back to airport.
thanks in advance

I always stay at the premier inn at new street station. You could get 2 rooms interconnecting?

I'm heading over in April for a couple events and this is where I have booked to stay.

Premier Inn by the Cathedral is nice. They do twin beds but it's all in the same room, don't know if they do suites.

If you're going to NEC then stay at the hotel as Resorts World. Quick train n back into bullring and means you're close to your event, plus places to eat n drink.

Stayed in Leonardo Royal I think it was called, last year. It was one room but had 2 double beds in. It was really nice and room was reasonably priced. Had dinner and breakfast there. Both were good.
