Does anyone work in airport security?

Hello, I am going for an interview in a couple of weeks and would be interested to hear from anyone who does this job.
mainly what you like and don’t like about it. Also, any interview tips would be greatly received.

Well I don't work in it. But I've been through a fair few checkins in my time.

I can imagine the worst thing about it is the monotony, but if you like people watching everyone is different and my guess is what people decide to cram in their luggage is also interesting. As well as the stories and excuses as to why.

You are customer facing, so that means you have to be patient and present a professional image all the time. Even if someone is behaving like an asshole and you are tired. Make a mistake in that sort of role and you could get hauled up to justify your actions pretty quickly, and my guess is you are always on CCTV and being monitored.

You are on your feet for long periods.
