Hi! we are planning a holiday in April with two dc, 7 and 1. We would need to apply for a Schengen so deciding on where would be best in April.

Looking for something luxury, all inclusive (I don't want to cook!), kid friendly, warm but not too hot, beach and attractions that are not too far to travel. I'm overwhelmed with choices and have no clue about anywhere in Europe as I'm from a whole other continent. Any suggestions?

You might be best moving this to the Holiday travel forum.
The Mediterranean resorts aren't that warm in April but it depends how warm you want it to be. For guaranteed warmth you'd be best in the Canary islands or the Middle East. What sort of attractions are you wanting?

There isn’t anywhere in Europe that’s too hot in April, unless there’s an unexpected unusual heatwave. For pool and beach weather you ought to be looking at Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Cyprus or Crete. I can definitely recommend Creta Maris in Crete for luxury and close proximity to lots of things to do.

Thanks I didn't know there's a travel section. I am looking at April for the school holidays.
By too hot I meant 29/30degrees. Just don't enjoy that amount of heat. But would like to swim, at least for the kids.
It is so overwhelming trying to find the right place as with the Schengen, you are most likely to get it for that trip or short period only. So need to add on that extra for the holiday and trying to find the perfect one is proving to be a task!

Weather in The Canaries is lovely in April.

Fuerteventura has been really windy whenever I’ve been there, I think that’s common though.

I’ve been to Tenerife several times in March as used to have a timeshare there and the weather was always lovely. Warm enough for swimming and sunbathing during the day but sometimes need a cardigan in the evenings if sitting outside.

Cyprus averages 22° in April. Crete I believe is around that too. I can't think of anywhere in April that would be 29-30° so you shouldn't be too hot.
