The strangest thing just happened, I got a phonecall off Alexa.

Mine is only connected to the one in my sons room, I'd tried speaking to him on it like I do every morning when my phone rang at exactly the same time saying Texas. I answered it and it contacted back to my Alexa with a high pitched ringing sound coming from my phone, I left it on the side and it just carried on. I've googled the number and it said it didn't exist but when I tried ringing it back giffgaff wouldn't allow it as it was an international call.......

And yes, I know I need to get out more but I've a few hours to kill before work. Has anyone else had Alexa, the provider of fart jokes and songs about sad puppies had her gone rogue on you. ??

Oh and here's the number, I'm not one for drip feeding info.

Go through the voice history to look for what it thought it heard, but it probably thought it was call me type command

I'm convinced my Alexa(s) are deaf. Ask for a ten minute timer and it gives you a two minute one. And so on. It can't find the light it turned on half an hour ago and says the door camera doesn't exist.

I expect yours has misheard, dialled a number and it called you back.

I’ve had this. It was when one of the children were calling me from another room via the Alexa. It’s odd as 99% of the time it comes up with my husband’s name.

I use my alexa to ring my phone when I'm alone in the house and can't find it! It always comes through as an Amercian phone number!
