Selling on Vinted

Hi, can anyone give me some advice please about selling on Vinted?

I’ve got a load of things to sell but have never sold online before. I put two items on Vinted the other day to test the waters, but I’ve not had a single view.

I logged out of my account and searched for my items using the heading I put in. I’m not exaggerating now when I say I was probably about 500 down the list that appeared.

How can you ever sell anything if you don’t appear at the top? I got bored scrolling to find my items so I can’t imagine anyone spending that long going through the list.

TIA

Did you filter on size? Were the items priced competitively? I find that I always get more views of items when I’ve added things, I appear near the top of searches. So add a few more items. Take the photos during the day when there is good light but upload about 9pm as I’ve found most of my views/favourites and sales to happen between 10pm and 1am. Vinted might also offer you a free bump and use it when they do.

@Autumn369754356 how's it going?
I'm thinking of doing this too, I've got so many clothes I can sell at really good prices ( I just want rid), but I'm so new to it, I'm not sure if it's for me.
I was thinking of getting a market stall in April ( I have mostly summer clothes). Don't know which is easiest !

On piece of advice if to set your postal preferences from the start. The buyer can choose and you'll be running from Evri, to postbox, to in-post etc!

Bitter experience, just find what's closer and set it as the only option.

Sell cheaper than everyone else, if you want stuff gone lower the price.

I had a clear out selling sweaty Betty legging at £5 each, I wanted it gone, otters were asking £30+ so you need to be a motivated seller.

Take great pics.

Low prices and good pictures, with pics of the labels, are what gets sales. I sell all of my DC’s old clothes on Vinted and they go within a day or two but I don’t overprice as I am only trying to clear space, the extra money is just a bonus.

I find putting lots on at once helps, as buyers often buy more than one item and that saves them postage.
Though prices are quite low, with £5 the most I have been able to get for almost new items like Boden kids clothes etc.

I may be wrong on this, but I think it helps to include key words in the main title. To try and explain what I mean:

If it's a Christmas jumper, then call it a Christmas jumper because there isn't a filter for that. Similarly, if it's a unicorn/penguin whatever, include that.

There is so much for a buyer to wade through and the filters only go so far.
