Any nurses/healthcare or any NHS HR staff who can answer me a question?

I joined the strike action last year which was on a bank holiday (May 1st). Today my line manager has called me and said due to this my bank holiday allowance has been docked by a day therefore I now owe a day. I was supposed to be on shift that day. My ESR says ‘special leave’.

I asked her if this was correct and she wasn’t sure but she said she’d notice it whilst going through the annual leave. I’ve had a look online and wasn’t sure if this was correct as surely it would affect every nurse who was supposed to be working that day?

thanks
