I've made a mistake haven't I?

My son was sick last night and I put his feather down mattress topper in the washing machine (it does say it can be washed and tumble dried).

I have done this and it feels mostly dry but it now absolutely stinks of what I can only smell as wet dog!

What do I do? Afraid I've ruined it now 😩

Not to worry. Are you sure you added laundry soap? If not, rewash it on gentle with a bit of gentle liquid laundry soap and then it will need to be tumble dried several times until completely dried.

feathers do smell awful when they are damp - give it a chance to dry out properly before you worry!

Real feathers do tend to smell when they are wet. It should be fine once it's dried and aired a bit.
