After years of screaming at the radio, I have had enough of the melodramatic merry-go-round of duplicitous drivel...the treadmill of tyrannical stupidity. It is not entertaining and seems devoid of sensible purpose. It is akin to being forced to read a badly written book - terrible plot, no character-depth etc. No effort seems to be made these days to lace the narrative with layers of Machiavellian intrigue. So, we have the political outcome desired by Machiavelli, with none of the intellectual sophistication. It is as though a 2 year old has been given a packet of permanent markers and has been left to scribble all over an original fourth edition of John Locke's 'Two Treatises of Government'.
The speed with which the institutions of civil society are unravelling is increasing at an exponential rate.
I am now focusing on those aspects of living that encapsulate a sense of continuity of purpose - meaning that is not malign. I don't feel guilty for opting out of the political process (my opinions are too much of an unrealistic hotchpotch to be reasonably accommodated within the mainstream political framework anyway).
