DH thinks the worst of DS

Or at least that’s how it feels all the time!

DS is 14. He likes to go out and socialise. But DH will comment constantly on how he and his friends look… typical JD atire. Not mine or DH’s style but certainly the norm on a teenage boy.

where they hang out… the prom in the dark. Dh: Must mean they’re up to no good! Me: Or maybe it’s because there’s nowhere else to go!!

The local city on a weekend, a 40min train ride away…. Dh: why so far, they must be up to no good vaping or drinking. Me: we live in a very quiet village, it’s nice that they’re independent enough to go!

This eve was a classic…. DS is miles away in the opposite direction of said city…. Dh: he must be involved with county lines!!… I’m a mug apparently for not thinking this also…. turns out the train decided to cancel all stops between the city and major town where ds ended up. Including our village stop! So they were stranded in the town for an hour and just got next train back.

I’m fed up with dh… who grew up in a big city and took drugs from age 13 thinking that all teenagers do that and ds is no different.

Their relationship is straining because of dh constant accusations and badgering. But then mine and dh’s is because I don’t back him up!…. But besides finding a vape box in his room 2 weeks ago, we have no evidence or reason to believe that he’s up to no good!

Does anyone else have or had a dh similar? How do you handle it?
