My husband had a routine blood test to check his prostate, psa levels were 1.8 (he’s 69). The doctor examined him and found what he thought was a nodule, referred to a consultant within the 2 week rule, was seen within 4 days and they agreed with the doctor re finding a nodule, was told a scan within 3-4 weeks, scan appointment has come through within 4 days. Now I’m scared it’s something untoward or whether they are just super efficient and have had cancellations etc so we have been lucky.
From googling it seems the psa level is not high which usually could infer cancer but I’m really concerned about the nodule…I know no one can tell me what’s going on but has anyone been in a similar situation please?
Thank you.
