Has anyone just cut them off with nail scissors? Does it hurt a lot?

No they'll bleed. I used a liquid nitrogen kit and eventually they blackened and fell off. They were round my neck and collar bone.

HardStareBear · 27/01/2024 22:56

Yes. I numb them first with local anaesthetic cream and then snip them off. No problems so far.

I bought a skin tag kit of Amazon. Little electric bands basically you put on them with a tool they supply. Takes a couple days but turns black and falls off. Removed a good 3 using it.

Liquid nitrogen all the way

BlastedPimples · 28/01/2024 12:51

Where can I get liquid nitrogen?

I tried the little elastic band gadgets but the bands don't stay on.

@BlastedPimples
For some reason I seem to be prone to getting skin tags around my neck and upper chest area.
This method is painless and has worked for me every time.
Tie a length of cotton or dental floss thread tightly around the base of the tag, as close to the skin as possible.
Or get someone to do this for you if it's in an awkward position.
I use cotton that's close to my skin colour.
Snip off the ends of the cotton so it looks as unobtrusive as possible.
The skin tag then gets starved of a blood supply, and falls off naturally after several days!

I had one on my neck that I cut off with scissors. It hardly hurt and bled for a moment or two.

id read about tying a bit of cotton around it (so it looses blood stupply and drops off) but I caught the edge of it in the knot and then couldn’t untie it. I just cut the lot off! I’m really pleased I did. I hated the skin tag.

Its a sharp pain, a bit like having your ear pierced, but it doesn't last. I get small ones and paint them with clear nail polish, just try not to get it on your skin.

MixedPeel27 · 28/01/2024 13:28

I've cut off small ones. Only brief pain and a little bleeding.

For larger ones I tie cotton tightly around it. Never fails.

A friend went to her GP with one - he leant over as if examining it then pulled it off😂😂

I've worked out that the car seat belt is rubbing and causing skin tags on my neck. Sick of them
