Hebden Bridge for a random day trip

What is there to do/see?

Got a random day off and thinking of going there on the train. I know it has quirky shops and some nice cafes/pubs etc. But not been for years!
Thank you

This probably isn’t what you’re after but I went to Hebden Bridge 2 years ago, while on a trip past for something else, and I hate to say I found it quite boring. I love quirky shops and cafes, but I didn’t feel like there was much there. It was 2022 so maybe some things not yet re-opened after COVID.

The area is beautiful though and there is nice walking and swimming, so as long as you aren’t making the trip for that alone. But I just found it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. It felt a bit dead (and this was in June, so not even off season).
