Hi. I got some glue sticks that quite honestly are crap.
What ones are good. Want for Easter bonnet making

I bought a glue gun and it melts but 100% not sticky/glue like. Could use as a seal but not to stick things together. So following with interest

How are they crap? Do they not fit? Not melt? Melt too much? Melt too little? Not stick?
I get mine from Amazon or Poundland & they're great. Did you buy a really cheap gun?

CookingFromScratchVirgin · 26/01/2024 19:33

They just don't hold much like not sticky enough. Think we're from the works or somewhere.

Think the gun was maybe a tenner? So maybe too cheap. Got a couple of years ago but has minimal use

Do you have the right size sticks for the gun. Ie the stick should fit snugly in the channel it goes in.

CookingFromScratchVirgin · 26/01/2024 19:37

Yes correct size. The sticks were a pack of 16 long for about a quid so assumed it was they're rubbish? Would a better brand one work better

Look on screwfix. Mine came from there. Can’t remember the name of it.
