What did you make?
I really fancy some warm biscuits straight out of the oven but don't know what I fancy....

I do these www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/basic-biscuit-dough and end up freezing some dough for emergencies 😂

Yes I made vegan shortbread.
It was delicious. But better when it's cooled down rather than straight from the oven.

I'd second these - easy, quick and always really popular!

Peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies.
Oat, cranberry and choc cookies.

Sourisblanche · 26/01/2024 15:40

My ds is making those Millie’s cookies in food tech today! He should be home soon, I hope he and his friends haven’t eaten them all on the way…

I made my own digestives this week, surprisingly nice.

The best cookies 😋 I make these all the time with my toddler, he loves breaking up eating all the chocolate!

DoveGreys · 26/01/2024 15:47

I’m thinking of it too.

chocolate chip cookies. Mmmm…

but can I be arsed?

UnfunnyJester · 26/01/2024 15:58

I'd be a fool not to try the Millie's cookie recipe then! Thanks.

laughs - exactly. I find it just as easy to make a chocolate and banana loaf cake or flapjacks and I think when I've tried biscuits and cookies they've not turned out quite right.

I got given a book on biscuits, this one, when I was about 10.

LlynTegid · 26/01/2024 17:32

No, but had some lovely shortbread a colleague brought in today!!

Coldupnorth7 · 26/01/2024 17:36

Made Dan Lepard's peanut butter cookies a couple of weeks ago. Very warm & comforting.

DilemmaDelilah · 26/01/2024 18:00

Peanut butter cookies - just crunchy peanut butter, same quantity sugar and an egg.
Lemon and poppy seed shortbread
Orange and ginger shortbreadI
but usually a version of Delia Smith's flapjacks, mostly with chopped dried apricots or sometimes with mixed seeds, sultanas and honey.

kraysee · 26/01/2024 18:02

Coconut shortbread with icing on top. We ate them hot

I make these every year around Christmas and they are perfect - Homemade Hobnobs. We love them, as we live in the US and it is harder to find HobNobs. I also deliver to a few neighbors how love them. Better than the real thing. I want to try dipping them in chocolate next time.

Homemade Hobnob Cookies

These crunchy cookies are just enough salty-meets-sweet to make them downright addictive.

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/471992/homemade-hobnobs twinks hobnobs used to be legendary around these here parts. Can vouch for this recipe though it’s been a while. Also recommend soupdragons flapjacks.

Mindyourfunkybusiness · 26/01/2024 18:44

Jemma cupcakes or something on YouTube, has a cookbook crumbs and doilies - their cookies are amazing and they're frozen balls in the freezer which you can make huge batches of and then take out from the freezer and bake up from frozen to be fresh and gooey inside. Biscoff, Nutella, you can make whatever options you like!
