Is painting a room difficult?

Okay difficult is probably the wrong word but what I mean is is it more tricky than what it seems?

I'm thinking of having a go. Problem is I've never painted anything other than a fence in my life and it may be a case of 'biting off more than I can chew'

What's your thoughts?

Not difficult but boring, tedious and takes time

The prep is really important if you want a good finish. Plenty of info on YouTube.

Came on to say this.

In terms of time taken you should expect painting to be about 70/80% prepping the walls… 20/30% actual painting!!!

it’s definitely doable.

i love peeling off frog tape 😍😍😍

Go for it Op! I did a feature wall in our bedroom recently. First painting I'd ever done and it came out ok. I primed first as the wall under the wallpaper was two different colours so I wanted to even that out.

Just got some good podcasts queued up and got stuck in.

As others have said, it is all in the preparation. This can make the difference between an OK job and a stunning job. And having some decent quality tools and paint.

Have a look at inexteriors TV channel on YouTube. You'll be fine.

yes to bathroom paint!
you’ll need a couple of coats. Keep your extractor fan on as you’re painting and leaving it to dry.

wear some tatty old clothes you don’t care about and have fun with it
