Taking boots folic acid at the moment. Havent even opened the pregnacare before conception box, but now that i have conceived, is it ok for me to stop the folic and switch to pregnacare?

Pregnacare also contains folic acid as well as co enzyme i believe. it was pricey and i dont want it to go to waste

I'd just take it as there's no point wasting it. It's unlikely to contain anything dangerous to a pregnancy

Check it says safe to take in pregnancy. Some vitamins such as A, can’t be taken in pregnancy. If it’s safe, take it. But please don’t waste your money on them again. Most cheaper, supermarket pregnancy vitamins have the same in them at a fraction of the cost.

Im pretty sure it says on the leaflet / box that can you keep taking it until you finish the box and then recommends you switch to pregnacare for pregnancy. Might be worth double checking?

A pregnacare brand is unlikely to have the retinol form of vitamin A and will have betacarotene instead

I had also left and asked this my midwife. Yes you can finish the pregnacare before conceive and then when box finished switch to pregnacare original or omega3 one whichever you prefer.
