I won a bet so my teen is spending all afternoon with me (out for lunch and a dog walk) and then entire evening with me in lounge with a takeaway, film and no gaming!!

This is a treat for me. But i want him to enjoy so film is about what he’s like. Any recent film recs.

The Kitchen on netflix?

He enjoys psychological dramas, guns, assassins - that kind of thing. Oh his recent favourite was 10 clover field lane (brilliant!)

Thank you

Not in line with his interests but lots of men I know's favourite film is shawshank redemption - the friendships, courage and the escape etc

Excellent bet and what a great prize! I could win the same bet (not tie but belt/phone/pencil/keys etc) 100 times over with dh but I would want my prize to be an afternoon of peace 😂
I recommend finding a series of some kind which might draw him in and like a PP said, could open up further opportunities to spend time together watching the rest.
Either way, whatever you settle on, I hope you both have a lovely afternoon and evening, mine are 12, 18 and 19 and they still look forward to spending quality time with me - I feel so lucky!

Aw this is sweet ! The Menu with ralf Fiennes is good although you have to wait a little while for the violence.

Start watching a series with him! Give him a reason to want to do it again.

Homeland? 24?

Or something like the Bourne trilogy.

This is a great idea! 24 is classic

turkeymuffin · 25/01/2024 18:29

Or line of duty

What about a brilliant Korean 'gameshow' called the Devils Plan. It's a series on Netflix.

Or Beef - also Korean drama.
Or the gameshow version of SQUIDGAMES if you haven't already seen it.

Netflix Saltburn

A bit bridgehead but has stayed with me for days.

This is absolutely NOT a film to watch with your 15 year old son, ffs 😂
