How can I get hair dye off my glasses??

Like an idiot I got some hair dye on the lens of my glasses, will anything get it off?

I've tried glasses cleaner, white vinegar, nail varnish remover, but no joy.

Advice from the optometrist perhaps?

Toothpaste..

I'd take them to the opticians - you don't want to damage the lenses.
