Please be gentle. This is a new area for me and I want to protect my child while also allowing a certain amount of freedom.
Reluctantly we are getting our 11yo a mobile phone.
I need advice on the best one to get, that allows us to put age appropriate limits on it and restrict the downloading of new apps etc. As with most things techy up to now, we've needed to approve things first.
The only soc med app they will need is WhatsApp but I don't want any other 'default' ones installed like Facebook or tiktok.
I'd like to be able to connect it somehow to my own phone so I can keep an eye even if they're not with me.
