Hoping to sleep soon so sorry if I don’t reply but need a hand hold. Husband v poorly. I’m camped out with baby in separate room. Only just got baby to sleep. Think he sensed my tension. Need to sleep because baby will be up in the night and I’m scared I will too. We’ve eaten the same things and spent last few days together. I feel ok sick from nerves. Can hear poor husband. Can’t use headphones as need to hear baby.

I'm so sorry, that sounds really hard Flowers I really hope you can get some sleep and that you and baby stay well. Everything always feels so much worse at night. It can feel like such a lonely and never ending space when we're worried. Not long until morning x

@inlotsofknots thank you- appreciate it. Got baby to sleep at 10:30 and up now. Hoping he’ll go back down soon. So far so good in here. Poor husband isn’t doing as well x

Could you put one headphone in with an audiobook playing to distract you from the noise? I do this at night and still hear my baby when she needs me. Breathing exercises are good too if you're feeling anxious. You'll be ok op.

Oh god. Massive hand hold. This is also my worst nightmare. Even reading your post made me anxious for you. I hope your husband gets better soon.

SprogTakesAQuarry · 25/01/2024 04:53

Hope you got back to sleep ok

Anothernewmum1 · 25/01/2024 05:53

Thanks all. I seem to be ok except having a baby that doesn’t know what sleep means! Don’t understand how he’s not incredibly tired but he’s decided he’s up for the day now. Logically I’m thinking if I’ve lasted this long I won’t get ill. Fingers crossed for my logic!
