IKEA trip- what should I buy?

Going to IKEA on Friday. Very excited! Have loads of time to wander and have lunch.

What should I buy?

There's nothing I need but I would like to get some new bits for the kitchen and I'm mad for baskets etc for organising. We also have a 2 and a half year old and I love buying things for him.

Yes! We absolutely need these. We've been folding over the cereal and crisps bags like animals!

Ofantligt mugs. They're white with a sort of ribbed finish on the outside and they're so tactile. I love mine!

Meatballs for lunch in their restaurant 😋
They do a lovely chocolate bar with hazelnuts in too.

Tealights and I love browsing the kitchen utensils. Always come away with bags full but don't go in needing anything 😂

I'll have a look! We've an atrocious mish mash of kitchen utensils, plates and mugs etc. Getting a new kitchen so it's time to upgrade some things.

A socktopus.
A garlic press if you don’t have it already.
Candles.
The little coffee cups with no handles. Love these!

~Looks up Socktopus~

Those cheap packs of ten facecloths in the children’s area. They are fantastic as reusable kitchen cloths, I rarely need paper towels.

suki1964 · 24/01/2024 10:05

The 3ply paper napkins
Fantastisk , great value for money

Ooh I love an IKEA run - we need to do one soon as I'm looking to redecorate our bedroom and the spare room so want some 'bits'.

My fav buys are

Paper Napkins - huge packs, really good value
Kitchen bits, including crockery
Picture frames
Pictures/prints
Tea light holders

Mirrors and also lighting are very good value

Daim bars
Jars of Dill & Mustard sauce - great with fish - I buy 3 at a time as they don't always have it

Djungelskog Bear - be warned that if you don’t want to bring him home, don’t give him a hug or allow your dd to.

Oh dear god I looked at the first photo and thought "aww" then saw the size of him in the second photo! 😱
