Is this a verruca ? (Warning pic included)

I’ve seen a dermatologist for my child’s hand. They said it looks like a verruca but couldn’t absolutely confirm and recommended using over the counter treatment. It came off once and it was what I can only describe as a sponge underneath. It bled A LOT which makes me think it wasn’t a verruca. It seemed to heal, skin returned to normal but it’s come back with a vengeance.

ive been trying to get a GP appointment for weeks now with no luck as it’s causing quite a lot of pain and gets quite angry. Any ideas ? It has like black dots in it this time round. Looking at google, it does seem to resemble some of the photos but not ‘typical’.

im just not sure how to help and it’s causing a lot of distress ! I try to keep it covered as much as I can as I read you need to try and starve it of oxygen but just seems to be getting bigger and bigger. (It’s probably the size of a penny now)

thanks for any advice

I had several at one point - two huge ones on my finger and an increasing amount on one foot, including a huge one I'd had for years and years. Nothing was working. Eventually I tried the Scholl Freeze spray from Tesco and kept on using it, I think twice a week, instead of once a week, as they were big. Eventually I noticed a bit of the verucca came off and there was shiny new skin underneath, so it was actually working! Eventually, every single one was gone, which is a huge relief. It didn't hurt at all to put on. 'Scholl Wart and Verruca Freeze Remover.'

Duct tape is what finally worked for my son after trying the other remedies . Dirt cheap, kind to the skin and didn't take very long at all.

Thanks all ! I will keep you updated on what works…hopefully not too far in the distant future !

I have had mosaic verrucae on the bottom of my left toe for about 30 years. I have tried everything! Can anyone recommend anything? I am at my wits end. Apple cider vinegar taped in place keeps them under control and stops them growing but they never to altogether. So horrible to have to do this every night after a shower and to wear during the day, as have to wrap the duct tape around the toe or it falls off, and the tape can be seen in sandals. Nightmare in the summer. Anyone got a miracle cure?

The best thing thanks to mumsnet help was duct tape. It went after a couple of weeks.
