Inheriting money from abroad?

My mum is about to inherit a significant amount of money from the sale of a property in Europe.

As the money will be in Euros, she's worried she'll have to pay a % to convert it to £.

does anyone know if this is the case? And if so, is there any way around this?

I've tried googling but seem just to get advice on how to buy money if going abroad!

I think she'd want a currency transfer service.

I used https://www.keycurrency.co.uk about a year or so ago. There's a good number of similar companies around.

They can get the best exchange rates, as they are changing large sums at a time.
