New kitchen - fan question

Just had new kitchen fitted with a fan on the wall leading to outside. Its so noisy! An electrical noise. I switched it off by the wall switch and the noise keeps going....is this due to the wind or bad wiring? Does your fan make a noise even when off? Thanks!!

You need to have that checked by an electrician. That doesn't sound right at all.

I thought there must be a new band I hadn't heard of called New Kitchen! Sorry that doesn't help.

Thankyou I've gave them a call, I didn't know if it was just due to how bads the wind was but 9ts definitely an electrical noise rather than the fan spinning due to air flow. Sigh

Definitely could be the wind making it flap. I have a bathroom fan which seems to catch the wind and it makes a right din.

Should have added that it is not a constant noise though!
