Here's Rishi Sunak, who this morning claimed that "I'm not a betting man" in order to distance himself from his £1,000 bet with Piers Morgan... boasting about his love of spread betting.

Perhaps we could use this to our advantage and ‘surprise’ him into calling an election.

I always thought of him as having a very safe seat, what with the 19k majority, but interestingly the Electoral Calculus website only has the Tories as a 51% chance of winning, with Labour 48. I wonder if him pissing off makes the Tories more or less likely to hold it?

That's interesting orange - I'd assume he was considered one of the least trustworthy MPs given his track record.

I am wondering at the sort of calibre of candidates that local associations will see over the next few months.

On a slightly related note. Did we mention the ONS revising the number of people unable to work due to long term sickness up by about 200k?

Perhaps our PM might want to try tackling that rather than placing bets about Rwanda flights.
