I hope Starmer sues him

Me too.

dontcallmelen · 05/02/2024 18:19

I hope he sues him as well.

DuncinToffee · 05/02/2024 17:57

There is this as well, all he had to do was say 'No'

Does Rishi Sunak think Keir Starmer is a 'terrorist sympathiser'?

"The facts speak for themselves," the Prime Minister tells Piers Morgan.

Especially given the recent comments by a Tory Minister who quit because of death threats.

I'm actually so fucking angry I want to complain somewhere. It is so undermining to democracy to go round saying stuff like that and should not be allowed Angry we are turning into a banana republic

I think the SNP has written to parliament stating it is breaking the ministerial code, problem is that the PM makes the final decision on that.

Banana republic indeed

DuncinToffee · 05/02/2024 18:25

Johnson accused Starmer when protected by Parliamentary Privilige

Notonthestairs · 05/02/2024 18:48

Bloody hell, truly desperate measures in CCHQ.

Wonder if this an attempt to wrangle attention off the launch of the PopCons Trussite fest tomorrow.

Indeed. But the SNP have been running their own Tartan Banana Republic in Scotland - currently under Police investigation for missing £ & (possibly) forged signatures amongst other things - folk in glass houses & all that.

DuncinToffee · 05/02/2024 19:39

They are clearly in need of a 🐿🐿 thread.

tobee · 05/02/2024 19:40

I was reading about Wellingborough over the weekend and thinking how spineless Sunak was to give in to Peter Bone blackmailing him that if his partner didn't stand he would stand as an independent. Considering how the electorate of Wellingborough seem to regard Mr Peter Bone it seems particularly pointless.

AdamRyan · 05/02/2024 19:44

Honestly it's desperate. I'm finding it hard to be civil

pointythings · 05/02/2024 19:47

@RafaistheKingofClay I may have courted a deletion on that thread, but I couldn't not.

AdamRyan · 05/02/2024 19:51

I need to hide it. People are cray cray. Someone currently claiming they can't vote because of Corbyn Shock

DuncinToffee · 05/02/2024 20:10

You are doing well Pointy, you even got the 'google it' reply

@BIossomtoes I wish I didn't have to, it's a looooooong time to the GE and it's so tiring, shooting down the shills.

BIossomtoes · 05/02/2024 20:28

I know, it’s a pain and I wish it wasn’t necessary too. We’ll be on our knees by the time we go to the polls.

Zonder
Have you seen this? Just saw it on twitter

Conquerors and settlers
Warriors and lovers...

Romanticised twaddle and not a helpful comparison - the author needs a history lesson;

Boudica (for example) and her two young daughters were brutally assaulted by the Romans. She was publically stripped and flogged and her two daughters (who were probably only tweens) were gang raped. Boudica vowed revenge, raised a rebellion, and her followers slaughtered 70,000 people...

"I am avenging lost freedom, my scourged body, the outraged chastity of my daughters. Roman lust has gone so far that not our very person, nor even age or virginity, are left unpolluted..."

She was defeated in the end and committed suicide.

DuncinToffee · 05/02/2024 20:31

@Clavinova the Danes weren't exactly great either in terms of how they behaved. Makes our small boat people look pretty tame by comparison, really.

Point is, the UK is a nation of immigrants. Many of them boat people. (Though the ones who crossed in the Mesolithic walked, as the North Sea was dry at that point)

Lucky for him the king's cancer diagnosis has taken over the news.

Fair enough - I was posting about the twaddle in the link.

our small boat people

NB - I thought you had Dutch nationality and planned to relocate to the Netherlands in the not too distant future? Have you changed your plans?

DuncinToffee · 05/02/2024 20:54
