Debenhams gorgeous bras for the larger norked.

I’ve bought this brand for years. Haven’t bought any for a while and need to replenish as mine are now very past their best. Whilst you can still buy them in some sizes, there are none whatsoever in the 36G that I need. Many of the ones left are in the sale.

Anyone know the reason for why they are either unavailable or they seem to be trying to shift what’s left in the sale? I’d be gutted if I can’t get more ever again. These fit well, and are reasonably priced.

I don't know, but suspect it's because they went into administration in 2020 and were bought out by boohoo. They are probably running down existing stock, and might not be making this line any more.

Fullofxmascbeer · 22/01/2024 21:52

They’ve definitely been selling them since going into administration. I really hope they aren’t discontinuing the range.

🤞

Where are you buying them? Debenhams always made the best bras and I would definitely buy some now

Agree they were by far the best reasonably priced bras for the well endowed!

I've had to change to an American ( I think) brand but whilst it fits well, the style is more suited to my mother's generation ( and even then it's a stretch!)

I loved the Gorgeous range

ehb102 · 22/01/2024 22:48

Debenhams bras from the Gorgeous range were the best! I miss them.

Fullofxmascbeer · 23/01/2024 10:06

Debenhams are still on line and I’ve been buying them from there. You can still get some sizes but my size all say out of stock. I probably bought my last ones a year ago, so I don’t know what’s happened in the last year or if it’s just a temporary thing.

Have a look on Brastop site. They have some similar options in the size you want

Fullofxmascbeer · 23/01/2024 10:44

Thanks. I will do. Not heard of those before.

I used to buy these bras too. I‘be been pleased with Sainsburys bras recently.

OhItsOnlyCynthia · 23/01/2024 10:49

Gorgeous were my go-to for years, but they've definitely been winding down on the range in the past couple of years. I can't find any I like any more.

I'll have a look at Brastop, thanks for the tip 🙂

"Larger norked"- what a bizarre and repulsive turn of phrase. I cannot fathom why anyone would refer to their own large breasts in this way.

It’s a mumsnet turn of phrase. I wouldn’t use it in everyday real life 😂

You commented just to say that?

LaurieFairyCake · 23/01/2024 11:14

I only wear one particular Debenhams gorgeous bra and I check it every week for stock for the last year - it's driving me NUTS!

ADoggyDogWorld · 23/01/2024 11:16

Norks isn't a newfangled word for el boobles, don't be a silly Billy!

OP have you tried ebay for new with tags?

Yes, I am the "nork" police 😬

I was just going to say exactly the same thing. It's a ridiculous name for breasts.

ffsthisisntbullying · 23/01/2024 12:33

I dislike the phrase "nork" too but I can appreciate it's probably a regional thing and just something some folk call their boobs, I'm just amused by the term if anything Grin
Try Brastop's own brand for a similar fit to the Gorgeous range, Flirtelle! Slightly beater/firmer in some styles but similar nonetheless. Good luck from a 32K girl, if u can find bras to fit I believe you can too Flowers

ffsthisisntbullying · 23/01/2024 12:34

Neater not beater Smile

ffsthisisntbullying · 23/01/2024 12:35

Ahhh when will MN allow editing on the app?? If I can find bras to fit, not if u!
Clearly I'm still half asleep despite it being lunchtime. I blame the stormy weather for keeping me awake overnight lol

JiraffDeSaki · 23/01/2024 12:40

Reading with interest as I'm a 36H - I've used Brastop in the past but a bit overwhelmed by the choices. I personally couldn't get along with Flirtelle, they made my chest look a bit wide - I aim for bras with "side support" to push things forward, makes me look less wide than a barn door.

My old favourite was the Bravissimo Erin bra, but obvs they've stopped making it now.

BusterGonad · 23/01/2024 14:23

Could you try a sister size? 34GG. Or you could remeasure using ABTFs calculator and check you're wearing the correct size?
