We recently got a smart meter and found ourselves checking it regularly. More out of curiosity as to how much gas or electricity stuff uses, than anything else.
With the cold snap we had last week, our heating was on more than usual but not a horrid amount. The most was 7 hours in one day (usually 3 tops). That cost us a little over £17, which seems quite a lot. We have a four bedroom 60s house. Not particularly draughty but we wouldn't pass the heat pump insulation test!
Our electricity on the other hand, is usually around £3 a day although we've reached £5 a couple of times when we used the tumble dryer more than usual (two of us).
What's the most you spent on gas in a day? Say this winter?
